The ‘Olaifa Sensation & His All Star Band is a band comprising seasoned Nigerian musicians headed by Gbenga Olaifa and located in New York.
The band aims to bring music drawn from unique traditional Yoruba culture to immigrants nostalgic about their traditional roots.
We offer live performances for special occasions like weddings, naming ceremonies, birthdays and all other celebratory occasions including church and spiritual services.
The Band’s performances is of course not limited to Nigerians alone, as it also play popular and entertaining African music that appeals to music lovers everywhere. We bring out popular numbers from Discography of Juju, Fuji, Highlife, Afro-pop, Makossa and Sokous for the enjoyment of partygoers.
The Band Leader, Mr. Gbenga Olaifa started singing in his church in Nigeria years ago and now has become the ‘Choirmaster’ in his church in New York City. Mr. Gbenga is a composer, Multi-Instrumentalist who has played with famous band in Nigeria and has produced and directed many gospel groups both in America and Nigeria.
Mr. Gbenga is also a music teacher in which his students attest to his patience, and the easy ways of teaching for great understanding.
Mr. Gbenga performances in the church generated a lot of requests for private performances; hence the formation of a unique Band that is not be limited to gospel music. His wealth of experience will definitely be of great benefit to the band.
